Application of thermal transfer printed RFID labels to a plastic housing

There are all kinds of advantages to using RFID technology in production. For example, clear and contactless data exchange via radio waves ensures that parts are reliably identified. There is no need for a direct line of sight between the read/write unit and the smart label.

The topex labelling unit perfectly combines both technologies. The 300 dpi thermal transfer print head ensures high quality printing of the variable data. The information can then be visually read on the label. At the same time, the RFID read/write unit passes the data to the chip that is integrated into the smart label.
